Buick serves the 2018 Encore in five flavors: the 1SV, the Preferred, the Sports Touring, the Preferred II, the Essence, and the Premium. The entry 1SV and Preferred models are almost similarly equipped. They both provide LED running lights, heated mirrors, 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, automatic headlights, rear privacy glass, cruise control, keyless ignition and entry, air-conditioning, and a power driver seat. Standard tech equipment on both models includes OnStar communication with incorporated Wi-Fi hotspot and 4G LTE, Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite radio, a six-speaker sound system, a rear-view camera, and two USB ports. A standard Buick's IntelliLink electronics interface adds smartphone integration and an 8-inch touchscreen. A cargo cover and floor mats are extras on the Preferred.

Drivers gain access to fog lights, remote start, and a rear spoiler on top of the mentioned features when they opt for the Sports Touring model. A blind-spot monitoring system and a seven-speaker Bose sound system are options on this trim. The Preferred II builds on the Sports Touring model's equipment with an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear cross-traffic alert, and a 120-volt household power outlet, Blind-spot monitoring is standard on the Preferred II. Stepping up to the Essence adds leather upholstery, heated front seats, LED headlights, driver-seat memory function, and a heated steering wheel. The trim also gets a manually-reclining six-way power passenger seat with power lumbar. The range-topping Premium trim benefits from rear and front parking sensors, a lane departure warning system, a forward collision warning system, and seven-speaker Bose sound system together with all the items on lower trims. The Experience Buick package (available on the Preferred II, Essence, and Premium trims) installs 18-inch chromed alloy wheels, a navigation system, and a sunroof. The latter two items are stand-alone features on all but the 1SV.
