2024 GMC Canyon Elevation vs 2024 GMC Canyon AT4

The Canyon's energetic build and design make it a darling of mid-size truck lovers everywhere. Its first trim - the Elevation - kicks off the truck's journey in 2024. The AT4 is a later trim, adding more off-road muscle to the Canyon's formidable talents. Whether you choose the base model or the AT4, you'll get a range of high-end features that make off-roading look good and feel comfortable.

Performance

A TurboMax engine powers both the Elevation and AT4 trims. Its 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque create one of the most powerful mid-size pickups in the world. An eight-speed automatic transmission is also standard on both trims. An AT4 affords drivers more off-road power thanks to features like an automatic locking rear differential and hill descent control. While the Elevation makes a locking differential optional, the AT4 offers it outright without requiring upgrades.

Appearance

GMC designs the Elevation and AT4 with the same signature design: a highly cut front-end with striking points and high, thin LED headlamps. AT4 trims have a 120-volt box-mounted power outlet and an EZ-Lift and Lower tailgate. Both trims have 18-inch wheels, but the Elevation has painted aluminum wheels. An AT4 boasts machined finish aluminum wheels. For drivers conscious of their reputation and the look of their trucks, GMC does an excellent job designing the Canyon's Elevation and AT4 trims to match your preferences.

Features

Every GMC Canyon boasts a long list of impressive features. The base model Elevation offers an 11-inch diagonal color driver information center and an 11.3-inch GMC Premium Infotainment system, just like the AT4. Each trim gets carpeted floor covering and front bucket seats. There are distinctions between the two designs, though, with the AT4 adding dual-zone automatic climate control and heated front seats as standard features. These two features are only available on the Elevation and will be extra. Safety features are nicely done on both trucks and include standard features like Blind Zone Steering Assist, HD Surround Vision, and Rear Pedestrian Alert, all optional on both models.
