Specs at a Glance

The all-new 2024 GMC Acadia is one of today's most appealing midsize SUVs. Not only does this versatile family vehicle comfortably seat up to seven passengers, but it offers outstanding performance. Let's look at how the Acadia Elevation compares to the Acadia AT4.

Performance

Both of these Acadia trims are motivated by a new 2.5-liter, turbo four-cylinder engine. GMC rates it to develop an impressive 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission smoothly funnels power to the wheels. While a Trailering Package comes standard on the AT4 trim, it's on the Elevation trim's list of options. When properly equipped, the Acadia confidently tows up to 5,000 pounds.

All-wheel drive is optional on the Acadia Elevation. Meanwhile, a special Active Torque Control AWD System comes standard on the more rugged Acadia AT4. An off-road suspension and lifted ride height further bolster this adventurous trim's ability to tackle more challenging trails. Outdoor lovers can also take advantage of the Acadia AT4's exclusive Terrain mode, which enables the SUV to crawl over rough roads slowly.

Appearance

Regardless of which trim you prefer, look forward to traveling in style. The Acadia Elevation certainly has an attention-grabbing presence. Signature LED headlights come standard. The dark-accented Acadia AT4 has a more rugged appearance. Adventurous features like a front skid plate and red tow hooks help set it apart. You'll also notice the AT4 trim's exclusive wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires.

Features

Regarding standard equipment, the new Acadia Elevation stands among the class leaders. Its premium GMC infotainment system boasts a 15.0-inch diagonal touchscreen with Google built-in. Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone connectivity makes this modern interface even more rewarding. Other niceties include a 12-speaker Bose premium sound system, heated front seats, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a digital gauge cluster.

The Acadia AT4 comes equipped with many of the same features as the Acadia Elevation. However, a Forest Storm interior gives it a unique touch.
