2023 GMC Yukon vs 2023 GMC Acadia

The 2023 GMC Yukon is one of the nicest full-size SUVs in America. It's a classy design with bold GMC styling and elegant interior features. The Acadia is also a beautiful SUV within the GMC lineup. Its mid-size SUV build gives it value to families who want to sit a little closer on those family road trips, but the model's clever storage and cargo areas always leave room for the whole family. You might notice a few other differences when comparing these two GMC SUVs.

Performance

The Yukon is known for its trio of powerful engines, starting with a 355 horsepower 5.3L V8. Even more powerful is the 6.2L V8, that's rated at 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. A final option is the 3.0L Duramax turbocharged diesel engine rated at 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. All three of these Yukon engines get an amazing 10-speed automatic transmission. The 2023 GMC Acadia also has a powerful engine lineup starting with its 2.0L turbocharged engine rated at 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Its 3.6L V6 engine is the most powerful at 310 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque. The Acadia's 9-speed automatic transmission is smooth and just right for its engine lineup.

Appearance

As a mid-size model, the Acadia looks like the smaller SUV that it is. Sometimes that's right for families who don't need as much space. If you need the full-size look, the Yukon has it. It's blessed with polished satin-chrome accents and wheel choices like the Denali trim's 22" bright machined aluminum wheels with premium paint. Each wheel is stamped with GMC. The Acadia looks different, but it has striking features of its own, including a Denali trim with a full chrome grille. Wheel choices like the 20" Ultra-Bright machined aluminum wheels top off a very aggressive look for the Acadia.

Features

Incredible new features are available on the latest Yukon, including fractal stitching on its new perforated leather seats. Real wood trim gets the genuine GMC touch. The Acadia features Smart Slide second-row seats and warm-tone burnished aluminum trim. It gets French seam stitching and Embroidery on its Denali trim. Either of these models will be a great pick for families.
