What's New for the 2025 GMC Sierra HD?

GMC's Sierra Heavy Duty series comes in either 2500 or 3500 variants. No matter which one you choose, you'll take home a truck that's an icon among American tuckers. GMC keeps the design steady for the 2025 model year, but you'll notice a few extra features like optional front and rear parking sensors on even the base model Sierra HD. The Denali and AT4 trims also pick up standard trailering assist.

The handsome 2025 Sierra HD comes in Pro, SLE, SLT, AT4, Denali, AT4X, and Denali Ultimate trims. Outfitted to handle the big-league duties of American work, each trim shows off what the Sierra is all about. The base model SLE trim boasts a traction selection system with tow/haul mode and a 13.4-inch diagonal center touchscreen that makes working with safety/towing cameras pleasant. How Much Horsepower Does the 2025 Sierra HD Have?

Two powertrain configurations are available for the new Sierra HD. The first is a V8 gas engine rated at 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. An available Duramax 6.6L V8 engine is rated at 470 horsepower and 975 lb-ft of torque. Both are gifted with an amazing 10-speed automatic transmission. The turbo-diesel's transmission is Allison-certified.
