THE NEW TERRAIN GETS A MODERN MAKEOVER
Outside, the new front headlights are swoopy, modern and classy. The new grille is also larger and more pronounced than the one it replaces, adding to the vehicle's overall sophisticated look. The hood wraps nicely around the front fenders which effortlessly flow into the side panels and rear. The new floating roof is also a favorite with 2018 GMC Terrain reviews, giving the vehicle an extra dose of fashionable flair.FEATURE PACKED TRIMS
The 2018 GMC Terrain near Dallas is available in SL, SLE, SLT and Denali. Even the entry-level SL comes with a wide range of top-notch amenities, including leather-wrapped steering, two USB ports, Bluetooth, a 7-inch touchscreen and six-speaker stereo system.The SLE comes with much of the same equipment, but adds an auto-dimming rearview mirror and several enhanced interior accents. If this isn't enough, the model can also be had with the optional Driver Convenience package, which gains dual-zone climate control, an 8-inch touchscreen, heated front seats and navigation.
The SLT and Denali come with even more luxurious appointments, including a leather-wrapped upholstery, panoramic sunroof and a seven-speaker Bose-brand sound system.
ENERGETIC ENGINE OPTIONS
With three engines to choose from, the new SUV can be tailored to fit a variety of needs. All models, except Denali, are powered by a 170-hp, 1.5-liter four that makes 203 pound-feet of torque as standard. However, the SLE and SLT are offered with a more powerful, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, delivering 252 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. They can also be had with a 1.6-liter turbo-diesel that puts out 137 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque.The top-ranging Denali utilizes the 2-liter turbo mentioned above. Six-speed and nine-speed automatic transmissions are offered, as is front-wheel and four-wheel drive.
NEXT-GEN SAFETY
Aside from the usual standards, every new Terrain now also comes with a rearview camera and Teen Driver, which gives owners the ability to set audio and speed limits for young drivers and valet.
