Specs at a Glance
If you're in the market for an electric truck, the GMC Sierra EV is worth serious consideration. The Sierra EV stands out as a top-rated electric truck for its long range, variety of battery options, and generous feature set. Two great trims to consider in this lineup are the Elevation, a nicely equipped base model, and the AT4, a generously equipped midlevel trim that adds more creature comforts.
Performance
The Elevation and AT4 use the same standard battery, a 120-kWh unit. Equipped with this battery, both trims of the Sierra EV deliver up to 605 horsepower and 765 pound-feet of torque. With either trim, you can also get a 170-kWh battery with extended range. Power output increases to 645 horsepower with the mid-tier battery and up to 785 pound-feet of torque. The AT4 is also eligible for a 205-kWh Max Range battery, which has a power boost to 760 horsepower and up to 785 pound-feet of torque. Both trims have standard four-wheel drive.
Appearance
Both the Elevation and the AT4 have an attractive, athletic appearance. The Elevation features 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, and LED lights in the cargo area. Rain-sensing windshield wipers are standard as well. The Elevation also includes a lockable front trunk with a 120V power outlet. The AT4 has a more rugged design with a suspension lift and all-terrain tires. This trim also has dual-projector LED headlights, a spray-in bedliner, an expandable MultiPro tailgate, heated and power-folding mirrors, and more charging outlets.
Features
With either trim, you'll enjoy an array of standard amenities. The Elevation includes remote start and remote keyless entry. You'll also get heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and leatherette upholstery. For technology, the Elevation features a 16.8-inch infotainment display powered by Google, along with an 11-inch digital instrument display. A Wi-Fi hotspot is standard, as is a wireless phone charging pad.
The AT4 adds a digital rearview mirror, ventilated front seats, automatic windows in both rows, a passenger's seat with lumbar adjustment, a Bose sound system, and a panoramic sunroof if you get the Max Range battery.
Both trims have a long list of safety aids, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, parking sensors, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, and a panoramic camera.
