If you're considering an Encore for a car in 2021, the Encore and the Encore GX both make good choices. Both vehicles get some improvements in 2021. This year, the Encore has a shortened trim lineup. It also brings some additional driver-assist safety features. A smooth, quiet, and composed ride, which has traditionally been a strong suit of the Encore, returns in 2021.

Performance

There are two trim levels available for the Buick Encore in 2021. Both trims are powered by a 1.4L gasoline engine with four cylinders. This engine has a maximum power output of 138 HP. Its maximum torque output is 148 LB-FT. The engine comes with an automatic six-speed transmission. Both trims get front-wheel drive, but you can choose to get all-wheel drive on the top trim. The Encore GX offers two separate engines. The first engine is a gasoline-powered engine with a 1.2L displacement and three cylinders. It produces 137 HP and 162 LB-FT of torque at most. The second engine is a 1.3L three-cylinder. This engine creates 155 HP and 174 LB-FT of torque. A continuously variable transmission is standard with the front-wheel drive models, while the all-wheel drive versions have a nine-speed transmission.

Appearance

The Encore comes with a sunroof and rain-sensing wipers. It also has side mirrors with integrated LED turn signals. A rear spoiler is added to the top trim level, which also comes standard with LED headlights. The Encore GX gets alloy wheels to start. Roof rails are added from the Select trim and up. Chrome-accented wheels are available through a package, while the top trim gets LED headlights.

Features

The Encore and Encore GX both have many standard features in 2021. To start, the Encore offers an eight-inch touchscreen display with Bluetooth. A backup camera is standard, along with a WiFi hotspot. The base trim has dual USB charging ports and satellite radio. The GX has a leather steering wheel and an eight-inch display on the second trim. Wi-Fi is also added on the second trim.
