Buick and GMC Warranties

When you buy a Buick or GMC, your new vehicle will come with a standard factory warranty if made within a specific model year. A Buick or GMC factory warranty will cover all major components on your vehicle, including the engine, powertrain, transmissions, and components that regulate emissions. Along with the standard factory warranties provided, you can choose to get additional coverage plans if you want extended warranties or if your Buick or GMC vehicle was made before factory warranties were standard.

Bumper-to-Bumper

GMC's Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty covers you for a maximum of three years or 36,000 miles. It covers your entire vehicle for the cost of parts, repairs, and labor necessary to correct defects in workmanship or materials. Regular maintenance is not covered under this warranty plan.

Buick's deductible-free warranty covers necessary repairs using new or remanufactured components. The warranty transfers with vehicle ownership while the warranty period is in effect.

Powertrain

GMC's Powertrain Warranty provides coverage for five years or up to 60,000 miles for your vehicle. The Powertrain Limited Warranty applies to light-duty trucks and heavy-duty trucks. It covers the costs of repairs and replacements due to problems with materials or workmanship for components in the mechanical system. Coverage applies to trucks with diesel engines.

Buick's Powertrain Warranty covers repairs for original components that break or need to be replaced during the warranty period specific to your car.

Corrosion Protection

GMC and Buick both provide Corrosion Protection for up to three years or 36,000 miles. The Corrosion Protection Warranty covers the cost of body and sheet metal parts that are damaged due to rust and corrosion. A related Rust-Through plan from both automakers provides extended vehicle coverage for up to six years or 100,000 miles. This warranty will cover repair costs if corrosion causes holes to develop in the sheet metal parts of your car.

Maintenance Visit

The maintenance coverage includes a tire rotation, multi-point inspection, and tire change.

Additional Protection Plans
