HUMMER EV SUV Makes a Scene in Captain America: A Brave New World

If you've seen any of the previous "Captain America" movies from Marvel Studios, you probably know that Cap's ride of choice used to be a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. However, the new movie "Captain America: Brave New World" has brought us a new Captain America in Sam Wilson, and he's gone from riding motorcycles to GMC vehicles, most notably the GMC Hummer EV SUV.

While we won't get into any spoilers for "Brave New World," we will say that the Hummer EV SUV gets a lot of screen time in the new movie. It's not hard to see why, either. The massive new EV SUV weighs 9,000 pounds, giving it the kind of strong and heroic presence you might expect to see in an MCU movie. Testers have also been able to bring the 1,000-horsepower Hummer EV Edition 1 to 60 miles per hour in only 3.3 seconds. That's comparable to a Porsche 911 Carrera, which would be impressive for any vehicle, let alone a massive SUV.

The Hummer EV SUV isn't the only GMC vehicle that Sam Wilson drives in the movie, either. Early in the movie, Sam drives a GMC Sierra pickup truck, although it doesn't have the same kind of screen time as the Hummer.

The MCU is no stranger to featuring GM vehicles in its movies. The Chevrolet Corvette, Impala, Suburban, Tahoe, and Malibu all appeared in 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
